Mystral is a resource for creating private wiki-like notes.
How it Works
The principle of mystral is very easy. From your hub, you have the option to create a new notebook. Make sure you're signed in for this. You don't need to pay anything; the base version is completely free and has nearly all the features.
The button will immediately create a new notebook and its homepage, from where you can start creating your notebook. Notebooks are essentially files or large folders, groups of notes (documents). You could use a notebook to keep track of a D&D campaign, for example, or to keep an overview over your homebrew world. It can even be used as a diary, or as school notes!
See these docs for writing and editing notes, for more information on subscriptions, and for mystral's in-built image hosting.
Navigating Mystral
When reaching mystral from the homepage, you land on the hub. Its main page allows you to create new notebooks, and to access existing ones.
Second, you have the "Subscriptions" page (reach it from the side-navigation bar on the left). This allows you to purchase more extensive versions of mystral, with more notes and other additional features.
The "Images" page allows you to easily upload and manage pictures to host online. Click on the link icon to copy the url, and you can then embed the image in any markdown!
Finally, you may have a "Manage Auto-Links" bar. If you created and saved an auto-link keyword before, this page will allow you to delete any keywords you don't want linked anymore.
Top Bar
Mystral always has a top navigation bar. Clicking on the logo on the top left brings you to the hub homepage. The search bar gives results for all notes you wrote, in any notebook. Then, on the right, you have a couple quick links, including a way to get to the Many Isles homepage.
Navigating a Notebook
All notes pages have a search bar on the banner, towards the top of the page. This gives results within the notebook. Additionally, you can use the breadcrumbs - which are listed between the banner and the title - to go back to any parent article, or directly to the notebook's homepage or (when clicking the username) to the mystral hub. There's also a small tab in the left column called "Child Notes", which lists all children. Finally, at the bottom of a note's content, you have the option of moving up the filesystem to the note's parent, or to the hub if you're on the homepage.
