Wiki Date FormatGuide
20.12.2021
When editing a wiki article, you can specify the corner dates of that piece of lore. See this doc for more information.
Year Dates
If you just want to specify a year, simply enter a whole number. For example,2012
will convert to 2'012 AD. Similarly, -20100
will convert to 20'100 BC. Dates help people know when what happens, and to sort articles by date.
Note that the wiki settings can change the year suffix.
Specific Dates
If you want to go to a higher resolution than the year, you can use the wiki's date format, which isdate information, year
. Write the year as above, as a whole number. The date information, meanwhile, will not be used in searches and will just be a visual display for the user. Whatever you write before the comma will be placed in front of the parsed year.
Note that 22 Jan, 2012
will not parse correctly; it will return 22 Jan2'012 AD. You'll need to put the space in the date information, i.e., 22 Jan ,2012
would be parsed correctly as 22 Jan 2'012 AD.
